Owen Group Interiors brought a subtly modern edge to this traditional family home in Texas. Brelan worked directly with longtime clients to bring a fresh perspective to their “forever home” in River Oaks. The house was built in the 1980s and it is traditional in style; the goal was to make the home feel a little more contemporary while respecting its bones. The renovation included reimagining the spaces with a more open layout for the way people live today, replacing old windows with steel windows, removing existing shutters, and imbuing more bold color into the overall scheme.
