Founder & Creative Director
Tami Owen
Tami Owen is a Houston based interior designer, who has been designing dream spaces for clients for more than 20 years. She discovered her true calling and founded her eponymous firm in 2004, when sprucing up the VIP suites at Houston’s Intercontinental Hotel for Super Bowl XXXVIII earned her much fanfare. As Creative Director of the Owen Group Interiors, Tami has built a portfolio that exudes effortless elegance, whether in residential, hospitality or corporate environments. Tami’s prestigious client list includes many repeat collaborators, a credit to her design savvy and singular southern charm.
Tami’s work has been featured in several books and publications including Luxe Interiors + Design, Southern Home, House Beautiful, Sports Illustrated, the Boston Globe Modern Luxury Interiors Texas, the Houston Chronicle, and COOK: Cocktails. Cuisine. Culture. Her awards and accolades include multiple ASID Ruby Awards, and participation in several industry showhouses. In 2024, Architectural Digest named her firm as one of “The Best Houston Interior Designers on the AD PRO Directory.” Tami regularly collaborates with architects and premier homebuilders to create stunning homes that are showcased on several of Texas’s highly anticipated home tours.
Tami is a member of ASID, and serves on the advisory board of Candlelighters, and the design review board for the WaterColor community in Florida. When she’s not immersed in a project, you can find her and her husband on the sunny streets of WaterColor, Florida, or enjoying their kids and grandbaby.
Partner & Principal Designer
Brelan Owen Pearson
Born and raised in Houston, Brelan received her Bachelor of Interior Design from Louisiana State University. She spent several years interning for respected interior designers and showrooms across the Gulf Coast. Brelan joined the team at the Owen Group Interiors in 2018, and was named partner in 2024. Clients love Brelan’s fresh perspective on interiors and her subtly contemporary edge. When not on a job site, you can find Brelan with her husband, Zach, and young daughter, Lotte, out and about around Houston, on the beaches of 30a, or cheering on the LSU Tigers!
