The Owen Group is a full-service interior design firm specializing in projects from new construction and remodeling of high-end residential properties to hotel renovations and corporate design. The mother-daughter duo of Tami Owen and Brelan Owen Pearson helm the team at The Owen Group, which has locations in Houston and WaterColor, Florida. They have designed properties from coast to coast and enjoy the challenge of creating spaces in all environments, from city to beach to farm.
Clients are like family for The Owen Group. Tami and Brelan are involved every step of the way, from foundation to furnishings, when it comes to each project. Maintaining a close working relationship is paramount for success. No detail is spared in making a home, commercial space, entertainment area, or office into a bespoke experience for those who enter it.

Other vital pieces are sourced through trusted vendors and local shops that bring the style and personality of the client and the area to life within the home.

TAMI OWEN
FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
After years of designing the homes of friends and family, The Owen Group was officially established in 2003 when Tami was hired as the designer of the Intercontinental Hotel. She transformed the suites of Superbowl team owners into comfortable, inviting spaces that felt like home rather than a hotel room. Tami received great praise for her work, and her designs were prominently featured in the Houston Chronicle.
Over the years, Owen Group projects have been featured in several publications including Luxe – Interiors + Design, Charleston Style and Design, Antique Shops & Designers, and popular blogs including Cote de Texas. Tami also collaborates with architects and premier homebuilders to create stunning homes that are showcased on several of Houston’s highly anticipated home tours.
BRELAN OWEN PEARSON
SENIOR DESIGNER & MANAGER OF OPERATIONS
Brelan is Tami’s daughter and has grown up in Houston. She graduated from Louisiana State University, College of Art and Design where she received her Bachelor of Interior Design Degree. After interning for different designers and David Sutherland Showroom in Houston, New York and Baton Rouge, Brelan accepted a full-time offer as an Interior Designer at the Owen Group Design Firm in 2018. Watching her mother work as an Interior Designer while growing up, Interior Design came naturally to Brelan. When not designing, you can find Brelan with family and friends, cooking, traveling and always cheering on the LSU Tigers!
AVERY RICHARDSON
JUNIOR DESIGNER
Avery is a recent graduate from Louisiana State University with a bachelor degree in Interior Design. Ever since her childhood she always possessed a fascination with an “eye” for design. Whether she was flipping through my Mother’s “Veranda” or “Architectural Digest” magazines, or constantly watching HGTV, Avery was interested in color, furniture, layout, and design trends. Since starting her career in design, Avery finds herself growing with every project into the future designer that she wants to become.
MARIANNE NEWALL
SENIOR DESIGNER & MANAGER OF OPERATIONS
Marianne is a native Houstonian. Her family comes from Lima, Peru, where she frequently visits. My Spanish heritage has given me a diverse approach on my creativity. When she was younger she gained a lot of my inspiration and love for design while traveling to Spain visiting family friends. She is a recent graduate of the Interior Design program at Louisiana State University, a CIDA credited program.
PATRICIA RORSCHACH
OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
Patricia has grown up and raised her family here in Houston, TX. She comes to us with a software and technology background. Patricia is very creative and has always loved Interior Design. She has combined her background in corporate America with her creativity to help the Owen Group behind the scenes. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, photography and cooking.
YVONNE BERRY
INTERIOR DESIGNER
Yvonne is a native Houstonian. While raising three kids she attended San Jacinto Community College earning her Associate of Applied Science in Fine Arts and an Associate of Science in Interior Design. After interning with the Owen Group for a few months she was offered a full-time position as a Designer with the firm. Yvonne has always loved gardening and cooking, She is a fan of fine art and loves to DIY. Yvonne has always had a passion for Interior Design and has contributed to the group with her impressive drafting skills, attention to detail and her wonderful personality.
